notes

Viburnum burkwoodii is one of the best scented varieties and a perfect specimen shrub for year-round interest. It has glossy, dark green leaves and produces clustered domes of fabulously fragrant white or pink flowers. Plant this shrub near a path or entrance in a partly shady position to best appreciate its fragrance.

Insights

The decorative blooms of this viburnum produce a sweet fragrance with hints of vanilla, making it a great choice to place at the front of a border, and more importantly to attract a number of pollinators.
