Born and raised in England, Penelope studied art in London at the Bryan Shaw School of Art. Her Spanish journey began when she was granted a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, to complete an MA at Complutense University in Madrid. In Spain her love of artisan craft developed and it was here she decided to pursue the idea of bringing the Spanish riding boot to England. Inspired by her own love of riding, Penelope commissioned a small number of traditional artisans to make the perfect boot. Today this is the boot known as her long tasselled boot and has been worn by the likes of HRH the Duchess of Cambridge.
