INSIGHTS
Founded by Jake Hutchins in 2012 on his farm at Burke Mountain in northern Vermont, Jake’s Maple is a family-run business producing 100% pure, Grade A Vermont maple syrup. A Stowe native, Jake Hutchins grew up tapping maple trees with his family and later developed his own sustainable operation, collecting sap during spring freeze-thaw cycles and boiling it down – a process that produces roughly one gallon of syrup from forty gallons of sap.
