Features

notes
A grass like plant, Ophiopogon Black Dragon, (also known as 'Kokuryu'), is appreciated for its dramatic black strap-like foliage that makes a wonderful ground cover, full of colour and texture. Tough and resilient, it will slowly form a carpet, acting as a matt foil against bold, colourful plants. It does, in fact, bear its own small, purplish flowers, followed by tiny shiny, black berries.
Insights

Easy to grow and clump forming, Ophiopogon Black Dragon looks fantastic when planted in gravel or as edging to a pathway. It also adds impact when grouped in containers, especially when set against lime or silvery coloured plants. It is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
