notes

A compact member of the hollyhock family, Anisodontea Lady in Pink is a bushy sub shrub which bears a profusion of flowers over a long period of time. These flowers are bright pink with darker centres and will bloom for most of the year if kept frost free.

Insights

Native to South Africa, Anisodontea is also known as an African mallow, and, due to its heritage, it does need protecting in harsh winters- unless it is planted in a particularly warm, sheltered spot, it may be best to plant in a container, for easy overwintering under cover.
