notes

Closely related to the leek, and producing larger bulbs than its garlic counterparts, Elephant is ideal for roasting or enjoying raw in salads, as it bears a mild, sweet flavour. Planted as single cloves, these grow into large bulbs, which, when left to grow long enough, will eventually split into cloves. This pack contains 2 garlic cloves.

Insights

Garlic is believed to have originated in central and southern Asia and is notable for its medicinal properties. A great companion plant, when grown next to carrots, roses and under apple trees for example, garlic can ward off pests and diseases, although there are some plants who will not benefit from its close proximity- onions being one such crop.
