- Sow: February - August (indoors under cover early; outdoors later)
- Harvest: Around 4 weeks after sowing
- Soil: Moist, fertile, well‑drained soil
- Aspect: Full sun to light shade
- Sow thinly in a shallow drill about 1 cm deep; rows can be about 15 cm apart. Seeds can be sown under glass in early seasons and later direct into prepared growing beds. Radishes are often sown generously; thin to give roots space to develop, or sow few seeds for quick pickings.
Keep the soil consistently moist during germination and early growth to encourage fast, even root development. Successional sowings every few weeks will keep a steady supply of fresh radishes from spring through to late summer.
