notes

An early‑cropping bush tomato that’s ripe with vibrant, cherry‑sized fruits, Koralik brings an abundant summer harvest of juicy, sweet tomatoes straight from your greenhouse, polytunnel or sheltered veg patch. It’s known for its excellent resistance to late blight, making it a reliable choice even in cooler, wetter UK seasons.

Details
  • Sow: January – April (under cover)
  • Plant Out: April – June (after frost risk has passed)
  • Harvest: July – October (main season)
Planting
  • Soil: Rich, moist but well‑drained
  • Aspect: Full sun, sheltered spot or under cover
  • Indoors: Sow seeds about 0.5 cm (¼″) deep under glass or in trays in a warm propagation area 18–21 °C until germination. Prick out seedlings into 9 cm pots once they have true leaves, and grow on steadily before planting out when the risk of frost has passed.
  • Outdoors: After hardening off and once frost risk has passed, plant out with plenty of space, around 60–90 cm apart between plants, to allow vigorous vines to spread.
  • Space plants about 45–60 cm (18–24″) apart in greenhouse borders, grow bags or containers. Provide sturdy support or canes if needed for heavier crops.
Care

Tie plants loosely to supports and prune side shoots to focus growth on fruiting. Water consistently as fruits form and apply a high potash feed once the first truss has set to encourage heavy cropping. Mulch around plants to conserve soil moisture and reduce weeds.
