Iris setosa Baby Blue is a beautiful dwarf Arctic iris bearing electric blue flowers with a white inner halo and dark violet veins which appear on slender green stems in late spring. The bright green, strappy leaves give an architectural feel and are good ground cover. Baby Blue is a lovely dwarf alternative to the taller irises, and can work well in a container.
It is a bulbous, herbaceous perennial that can form large clumps. Irises are a traditional garden favourite, both good looking and reliable performers. They also make excellent cut flowers.
