Features

notes
Also known evocatively as the ‘golden-twig dogwood’, Cornus flaviramaea is a suckering, deciduous shrub that lights up the winter garden with its yellow stems. Providing interest throughout the year, the shrub bears clusters of white flowers in May and June, which later become white berries, with leaves that turn red in autumn before falling to reveal the golden stems.
Insights

Fully hardy, this deciduous shrub is a fast growing plant, happiest when planted in full sun near damp areas. In winter its golden stems are especially striking when grown near other red stem varieties of dogwood for a contrasting palette. It is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
