notes

A clump-forming ornamental grass with upright growth, Panicum Virgatum Squaw bears narrow green leaves which turn red at the tip in late summer. From mid-summer onwards, the light and airy grass carries burgundy flower spikes, which, together with the foliage, turn golden bronze as autumn progresses, forming a beautiful accent in the garden.

Insights

This switch grass is perfect for adding vertical interest to the rear of a border, planting as a feature in a container garden or adding to other grasses and prairie style plants such as echinacea, helenium and salvia.
