notes

Helenium Moerheim Beauty is one of the delights of high summer. It fills the border with ravishing colour and produces nectar for the pollinators. The upright stems of this charming summer perennial support the most marvellously coloured flowers with deep red rays of petals around a velvety soft, deep brown centre.

Insights

Tradition says where Helen of Troy’s tears fell, flowers grew, which is why these lovely daisy-like flowers are called Heleniums. Native American used the ground leaves for nasal conditions, hence the common name - Sneezeweed. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
