This stunning collection of jazz record covers depict the designs that defined a sound. Faithfully reproducing covers from the 1940s through to the initial decline in the LP in the early ‘90s, this anthology of jazz artwork has been described by Artists & Illustrators as a ‘visual feast of 12-inch-square draughtsmanship and photography at its finest’. Each record cover is accompanied by a fact sheet listing, art director, photographer, illustrator, year, label, and more.

Author Joaquim Paulo started his LP collection at age of 15, he now flies to London, Paris, New York, and São Paulo to enrich his collection of now over 25,000 LPs. A major label consultant and director of several radio stations in his native Portugal, he lives and works in Lisbon and dedicates his free time to recovering old and rare recordings.
