- Sow: April – June (direct outdoors after frost risk has passed)
- Flower: June – October
- Half‑hardy annual
- Soil: Moist, fertile, well‑drained soil
- Aspect: Full sun (best flowering)
- Outdoors: Sow two seeds together, with 45cm between pairs. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of soil and keep moist. Thin to one strong seedling per position.
Water regularly until established, then moderate watering encourages flowering without excessive leafy growth. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong the flowering season. Nasturtiums are undemanding once settled and can self‑sow in mild areas.
