Features

notes
A wonderful combination of foliage and flowers, the upright stems of Polemonium Heaven Scent bear dark green leaves flushed with purple, and, in late spring, bells of fragrant purple blue flowers with yellow anthers. This classic cottage garden plant is free flowering, attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It works well both in formal and more naturalised positions and is easy to grow.
Insights

The regular arrangement of the leaves of this deciduous perennial explains its common name, a biblical reference to Jacob’s Ladder. Mound forming, it is ideal for the middle or front of a border but would also be happy planted in a container, in part shade.
