Features

notes

Pyrus calleryana Chanticleer is a compact ornamental tree with masses of large, perfumed semi-double flowers tinged with pale pink in spring. The leaves start as red-bronze, becoming dark-green in summer and turn to orange in autumn. It produces small fruits only occasionally.

Insights

It looks wonderful planted along a drive, as we have done here at Burford Garden Company and because it is one of the last trees to lose its leaves, is useful for screening.
