Technically called an Echibeckia™, which is produced by crossing the annual rudbeckia with the hardiness of the perennial echinacea. The remarkable result is larger and longer lasting flowers, as well as a prolonged flowering season.
- Flowering period: June to September
- Fully hardy
- Cut flowers
- All soil types
- South, West or East facing
- Full sun or partial sunlight
A good choice for the middle of a border, it is extremely tolerant of most soil types and locations, and can deal with drought once established. Plant in a bold drift with other late summer-flowering perennials, and especially ornamental grasses. Dead-head faded flowers.
