Obelisks are used to add height and structure to a garden, supporting climbing plants such as roses and clematis or to make a feature of vining fruit and vegetables. With an obelisk, you are no longer dependent on just walls and trellises to showcase these plants, having the advantage of keeping some of the more rampant plants under control.
