The Power of the Present
'The Power of the Present' by Nicky Moeran is a contemplative oil on linen piece, capturing a lone figure and distant dog traversing a sunlit hillside beneath a richly textured sky. Earthy ochres, soft whites, and muted greys blend to create an atmosphere of quiet presence and gentle movement. The light, dappled across the slope, draws the viewer into the moment. Ideal for calm interiors, this work would suit reading rooms, hallways, or restful spaces with a love of the British landscape.

Nicky Moeran in an award-winning artist based in Southern England, choosing subjects primarily from landscapes, seascapes and still life. Often favouring a muted palette, she believes that quieter tones can offer the most interesting explorations of light and mood. Working in oil, watercolour, and charcoal, each of her pieces is started outside before being completed in her Oxford studio.
