Cairine MacGillivray (b.1952, Bearden) studied music at the University of Aberdeen before travelling and working abroad. Later training in linen weaving, she won four prizes, including the Lillian Mitchell Prize (1996). Her work is held in collections including Wolfson College, Oxford.
