Insights
Working from an amalgamation of sketches and photographs, Kavallares keenly experiments with colour by utilising an expressive range of texture with his brushstrokes. The process of creating is of utmost importance, taking pleasure in the cyclical process of layering paint and stripping areas back.
Artist
Almost entirely self-taught, Kavallares studiously practised a mixture of traditional and contemporary techniques in order to mould his own unique artistic language. Within a short span of time, he has impressively exhibited at several prestigious galleries, participating in both group and solo shows.
