Tranquility
Tranquility by Sue Godfrey is a contemplative acrylic on canvas, where soft brushwork and diffused colour conjure a quiet sense of stillness. Gentle blues and greys dominate the expansive sky, while hints of rust, ochre, and midnight green suggest distant landforms and fading autumn light. Both expressive and restrained, this atmospheric piece would suit minimalist interiors or restful spaces such as bedrooms, hallways, or garden rooms seeking a meditative presence.

Sue Godrey is an Oxfordshire based artist, who draws most of her inspiration from landscapes and nature. With subjects often taken from imagination, this allows her colours and abstracted shapes to be interpreted in many ways by the viewer. She says of her work: “I am inspired by the solitude and isolation of remote and extreme landscapes and attempt to capture a feeling of calmness and tranquillity encompassed within the scenery of the natural world.”
