Bred in the David Austin nursery, this striking Rosa Lady of Shalott (Ausnyson), has gently scented, chalice-shaped blooms. It is an English Leander Hybrid with vigorous, bushy growth and repeat flowers. Healthy, with good disease resistance, and happy in even poor soil, this rose is one of David Austin's hardiest and most reliable roses.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

The rose is inspired by the eponymous poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, in which the Victorian Poet Laureate retells the tragic Arthurian tale of a young noblewoman, who is confined to a tower overlooking Camelot. Under a curse, she can only see the world through a mirror and inevitably and fatally transgresses. This rose is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
