notes

This gloriously coloured Campanula Takion Blue is a wonderful variation on a much-loved cottage garden theme. The crisp, bell-shaped flowers (5cm across) are attractively outward facing from the stem, encouraging full benefit of the striking colour.

Insights

The name is derived from the Latin for ‘bell’ - Campana, and its bell-shaped flowers are wonderful in flower arrangements. Due to its size, it is perfect for the front of a cottage garden and will also thrive, to great visual effect, in well-watered containers. More compact in habit than other Campanulas, they are less prone to damage in windy borders.
