Daphne transatlantica Summer Ice is a slow growing, bushy, semi-evergreen shrub with glossy foliage. Variegated leaves are grey green in colour with a marvellous creamy margin. It produces pretty, almost exotic looking, pink-flushed white flowers with a marvellous scent, which enliven the border from early in spring, all the way through to autumn.

This is a low maintenance plant, which does not require pruning. Plant this Daphne in a sheltered spot by the door or gate where you will pass by often and linger awhile for the pure joy of the scent. Unsurprisingly, this compact shrub also attracts bees and other native pollinators.
