My First Hoppie Rabbit in Light Grey
This incredibly soft seated Hoppie rabbit, with his pink nose and long ears, has bean bags sewn into his bottom, paws and toes, so that he sits neatly on a shelf when not being hugged. If his long ears get rather grubby with too many cuddles, he can be popped into the washing machine, and with the Steiff label, you know he will continue to hop around for years to come.

Margarete Steiff founded the company in 1880 producing stuffed animals in Germany. She was joined by her nephew Richard Steiff, who, in 1902, designed a toy bear made of mohair, and called him Teddy in reference to American President Theodore Roosevelt, who had refused to shoot a tethered bear during a hunting trip. Steiff teddies and soft toys today bear (sorry!) the same high standards of quality, with each toy handmade and finished with an ear tag for authenticity.
