Features

notes
Ceanothus Blue Mound is a distinctive, compact shrub, producing a mass of blue flowers in late spring, eye catching against the glossy, evergreen foliage which is a lovely foil for the rest of the year.  Not only dazzling, the flowers are pollen/nectar rich and hugely attractive to native pollinating insects. Plant this medium-sized shrub against a sheltered, sunny wall.
Insights

Californian lilac, as its name suggests, has its roots in North America. It is a fast growing shrub and while it is not famous for being long-lived (around a decade) the late spring display more than justifies its presence in the garden. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
