notes
The narrow leaf Fargesia angustissima, (previously known as Borinda angustissima), is a non-invasive variety of bamboo, perfect for evergreen screening. The fast-growing canes can grow up to 4 metres tall, so it needs positioning with care. The tips dance elegantly around in the breeze, while the foliage can become dense, affording privacy.
Insights

New shoots are lime or pink in colour and are sheathed in white, which produces a white powder on the leaves. Originating from Sichuan province in China, this variety boasts canes that can grow up to an inch in diameter, and this, together with the attractive leaves and coloured canes makes it a striking element in any garden.
