notes
With delicate white funnel-shaped flowers, tipped pale blue at the edges, exploding from tall stems in summer, Agapanthus Silver Baby has a real impact in the garden. Agapanthus are perfect patio plants and grow well in pots, as well as in beds and borders. The clump forming perennial can easily be propagated by division, so is great value in the long run.
Insights

Originally from South Africa, Nile or African lilies grew from the Cape Province to the Limpopo River. Trade meant that the Agapanthus, under various names, arrived in Europe in the 17th century when it was mainly grown in hothouses. Modern breeding means these flowers now bloom in British gardens. It is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
