Insights
Established by sisters Anna and Emma Karlsson in 1929, a lot has changed since Anna Karlsson baked her first batch of thins in a little backstreet bakery in downtown Stockholm. Now enjoyed all over the world, Annas ginger thins, known as ‘Pepparkakor’ in Swedish, are still crafted according to her original recipes, with its wonderful blend of both flavours. Amongst Sweden’s most popular confectionery, in 2002 Annas was appointed Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden.
