A Giant Dutch (Crocus vernus/× luteus) variety: robust, clump-forming and prolifically flowering—ideal for naturalising en masse and brightening early spring spaces.
Flowering Time: February–March
- Soil: Prefers moderately fertile, well‑drained soil
- Aspect: Full sun to partial shade
- Planting Time & Depth: Plant in autumn (Sept–Nov) at 7–10 cm deep, spacing 5–8 cm for naturalising impact
- Bulbs are toxic to pets or humans if ingested
- Corms are vulnerable to mice and squirrels
- If planted in lawns, do not mow for six weeks after they have flowered to allow the foliage to provide energy for the corms (for next year’s flowers)
