Insights
Native to the rocky coastlines of the southern Mediterranean and north Africa, the common name of Candytuft is thought to be a derivation of the 13th-17th century name for Crete - Candia. Its origins explain its remarkable hardiness and its traditional planting alongside alpines and rocks.

In April - May the dense, flat-topped flowers appear and can be cut in moderation for flower arrangements
