Little Women
The much-loved classic, ‘Little Women’ charts the lives of the four March sisters, living in a small New England community. The tale of Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy and their attempts to increase the family income, their friendship with the neighbouring Laurence family, and their later love affairs, remains just as poignant and relevant today.

‘Little Women’ was the finest work of American writer Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888). Much loved for its touching portrayal of American family life, it reflects a strong autobiographical element of Louisa’s own childhood, growing up in a poor but happy environment. Wholesome without being smug, her deceptively simple writing style made her works instantly popular, and so they have remained over time.
