Adding a contemporary twist to outdoor cooking, the OFYR 150 has the aesthetic appeal of an industrial sculpture combined with the functionality of a kamado oven. Crafted from Corten steel, with handrail and wheel, the 150 has a ceramic work surface with a nest for its kamado oven, BSTRD’s Large Solo barbecue. Renowned for combining sophisticated style with ultra durability and efficiency, the heavyweight bowl and lid of the barbecue are made of thick cordierite ceramic, capable of withstanding high temperatures and delivering excellent heat insulation and temperature control, reducing the amount of charcoal needed in comparison to a traditional barbecue. This consistent heat offers great versatility, with multiple cooking methods including direct grilling, indirect cooking with heat shields, smoking meat and fish, baking bread, or making stir-fries or stews.

Insights

First introduced in The Netherlands in 2015, OFYR was born out of a desire to transform outdoor cooking from a solitary activity into a shared one. Not only are the units aesthetically pleasing, but the concept of a social, cooking grill and the sheer scope of recipes means that it can be enjoyed worldwide, year-round. BSTRD. blends quality craftsmanship with innovative Dutch design, drawing its inspiration from urban culture and a passion for authentic experiences. Inspired by a traditional Japanese clay cooker, kamado-style grills gained popularity after US servicemen encountered them during World War II and later replicated them at home.

Details & Care
  • The table comes complete with BSTRD. Solo kamado oven
  • The table is made of Corten steel: a metal with a natural layer of corrosion that protects against rust perforation and is designed to withstand all weather conditions. This corrosion process has started but can take 6-12 months to become a fully protected layer and colour changes and staining may occur.

BSTRD. Solo:

  • The heavy ceramic lid is supported by a four-spring hinge mechanism that creates a smooth, easy-open motion. 
  • 7 mm stainless steel cooking grate made of two crescent-shaped sections, which can be positioned at different heights
  • Includes two half-moon heat deflectors for indirect grilling
  • Stainless-steel charcoal basket and a removable ash lifter, helping keep airflow consistent and making cleanup straightforward
  • The interior is constructed from durable cordierite ceramic, helping to retain and reflect heat efficiently for consistent cooking performance.
