Features

notes

A tall variety of half-hardy salvia, this anise-scented sage, Black and Bloom is notable for its bright cobalt blue tubular flowers, emerging from black calyces, that are held on stems above the dark green, velvety foliage. Position against a sunny wall and watch the pollinators flock to the flowers, it is a fantastic addition to any wildlife garden.

Insights

Position Black and Bloom at the rear of the border where it can add an architectural element to the garden. Normally found in Brazil and Argentina, it will require winter protection in harsh weather.
