Developed in Scotland by crossing blackberry and raspberry, the tayberry inherits the best of both: bold taste, soft texture, and strong growing habits. 'Medana' is a refined, nearly thornless form that crops heavily and ripens from mid to late summer.

Support with wires or trellis, and tie in new growth as it appears. After harvesting, cut back fruited stems to ground level, allowing new canes to develop for the following season. Mulch annually and water in dry spells to support fruit production.
