Henrietta Bud says of her own style: 'I relish the alchemy of turning raw materials into something quite different and have always enjoyed the challenge of working with a variety of materials. These include steel, stone, wood, ceramic and mixed media of various kinds. In an art as tangible as sculpture the material itself has a big impact – not only on the look and shape of a piece but also on the ideas that it expresses. My motivation and inspiration come from a whole host of sources but I find that, as well as suggesting elements of narrative, my work is often at least partly figurative – probably because I like our direct response to figures and the emotions they convey.'
Henrietta exhibits internationally and her work can be found across the UK, Europe and Australia in both public and private collections.
