Our rather gorgeous café has become a bit of a fixture in the accolades at the annual Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards, and we are very proud of it. Set in one of our stunning, light-filled glasshouses, the vibrant, welcoming space is very much at the heart of the Burford experience.
We are about delicious, rustic food with a modern twist, cooked well and with a simplicity that brings out all the natural flavours in seasonal ingredients.
Using only hand-selected, local produce, meats and dairy products, our team of chefs and bakers prepare and cook everything from scratch every day, seven days a week, in our own in-house kitchens.
We celebrate the seasons in our menus and our team takes great pride in crafting delicious dishes from the harvest from our own kitchen gardens wherever possible. Our lamb is from our own flock too, grazed in our own fields to the very highest welfare standards.
Where we cannot grow our own, our ingredients come exclusively from local artisan producers and suppliers – be it our whole milk sourced from the ground-breaking Nell's Dairy or the finest Cotswold beef from the award-winning Todenham Manor Farm.
The atmosphere in our café is relaxed, friendly and informal. We have free Wi-Fi, daily newspapers and books for you to enjoy. We do not take bookings, so you can come and go as you please – and even if you only have time for a quick coffee, you will always be guaranteed the same warm welcome.
Every day, our creative kitchen team ensure we cover a wide range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. Children are most welcome, and we are able to provide main lunches in children's portions too.
