notes

This variety of Sorrel is commonly known as Bloody Sorrel, for obvious reasons. Its pointed, bright green leaves are lined with dark red veins, which add a striking contrast of colour.

Insights

The leaves of this herb have a tangy taste, with hints of citrus, meaning the baby leaves are excellent for using in salads, whilst the mature ones can be cooked like spinach.
