notes
The new Salvia Caradonna nemorosa Pink Inspiration is likely to become, like its purple relation (Salvia Caradonna), a stalwart in the Cottage garden. Both are hardy, long flowering and attractive to native pollinators, but this variety produces deep pink spires of flowers which look marvellous with the silvery grey foliage of such plants as Artemesia, Stachys or Lavendula.
Insights

Native to Europe and central Asia, Balkan Clary is wonderfully robust and has been a popular sight in British gardens for centuries, planted in traditional herbaceous borders or in containers on a sunny terrace. Beautiful in flower arrangements, the spikes attract native pollinators so leave a few in the garden for the bees!
