Originally used as a washing machine, the name Bugadier comes from the Provençal word ‘bugade’, meaning laundry. Insights
Entirely handmade, the jars are fashioned through a rope turning technique – tournage à la corde – an ancestral process that helps create their beautiful silhouette. The body of the jar has an aged, patinated surface, whilst the rim and neck is finished in a rich enamel glaze.
