Features

notes

Exquisitely made in the rolling hills of Tarn, East Toulouse, these French pots will make a wonderful architectural statement on your terrace or along a walkway. Originally used as a washing machine, the name Bugadier comes from the Provençal word ‘bugade’, meaning laundry. Please note, due to the handmade nature of these pots, each one is unique and may differ in size, colour and appearance to the one featured.

Insights

Entirely handmade, the jars are fashioned through a rope turning technique – tournage à la corde – an ancestral process that helps create their beautiful silhouette. The body of the jar has an aged, patinated surface, whilst the rim and neck is finished in a rich enamel glaze.
