Graceful semi-double flowers, of a pleasing apricot, in large heads of up to fifteen nicely spaced blooms, cover the whole The Lark Ascending (Ausursula) rose bush from the ground upwards in a balanced display. Forms a tall airy shrub or perfect for hedging.

David Austin bred this rose in honour of what is regarded as one of the most popular pieces of English classical music. 'The Lark Ascending', a pastoral romance for orchestra, was composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams in the first year of WWI.
