notes

Pulmonarias are low-growing hardy perennials that attract bees. Opal (formerly Pulmonaria Ocupol) is a semi-evergreen variety with superb spotted leaves that are heavily blotched and speckled with silver; ice blue funnel-shaped flowers open from pale pink buds in spring on stems up to 35cm tall. This semi-evergreen variety will retain its foliage in mild winters. Supplied in biodegradable pot made from waste coir and natural latex.

Insights

Opal is a dependable spring-blooming perennial for a shady spot. Resistant to disease, it is ideal for adding interest to woodland areas, or to use as an edging plant along a shady path. Pair with hostas, ferns and brunneras.
