Features

notes
A member of the Elephant Ear plant family, the distinctive foliage of Alocasia Jacklyn makes it an attractive but unusual indoor plant that until recently was only available for collectors. The arrow-shaped leaves unfurl from decoratively mottled stems to reveal beautiful, deep colouration around the veins and an intriguingly rough texture.
Insights

Originating in Sulawesi, Indonesia, this much sought after plant is also known as Alocasia Tandurusa, from the local word for antlers, inspired by the shape of the leaves. The warm humidity of its native home, where it would have grown beneath the tree canopy of the mountain forest, gives an insight into its needs.
