Features

notes

Also known as False Indigo, Baptisia Cherries Jubilee is an herbaceous perennial sporting spires of pea-like yellow and cinnamon-coloured flowers, which open from chocolate buds. Upright, with dense, blue green foliage, even without its blooms it forms an attractive backdrop to the border. In autumn these flowers form black seed pods, which can be dried to use in floral arrangements.

Insights

With a lupin like appearance, this plant is most attractive to butterflies, and looks wonderful when paired with asters or geraniums.
