A wonderfully showy plant, Calathea Insignis is known for its instantly recognisable leaves. The lance-shaped foliage have long wavy edges, creating a decorative look. Coloured in a bold, rich green, these leaves are delightfully variegated with dark green splotches. Forming in clumps, they will spread slowly over time into a compact structure.

Commonly known as the prayer plant, calatheas have unique leaves which fold inwards at night, like praying hands. Interestingly, the saying ‘to turn over a new leaf’ originates from this habit!
