Camellia J. Sasanqua White, 2/3L
Slightly less hardy than spring flowering camellias, the camellia sasanqua requires a sunny spot positioned out of cold winds in ericaceous soil. The glossy evergreen leaves add a foil to summer flowering plants but, in autumn when everything dies down, they take centre stage, bearing an abundance of small, white flowers, with gently ruffled petals and golden anthers.
