Britain’s first luxury chocolatier, Charbonnel et Walker was established in 1875. Encouraged by King Edward VII, then the Prince of Wales, Parisian chocolatier Madame Charbonnel was introduced to a Mrs Walker from London. Together Mrs Walker, who was known for crafting the finest jewellery boxes, hat boxes, and Madame Charbonnel created Charbonnel et Walker; offering beautiful chocolates presented in beautiful boxes.
