notes

Atropurpureum is an elegant, architectural addition to the back of a cottage garden border. It features eye-catching, round thistle flowers up to 3cm in diameter during the summer months, which are borne above vibrant, spiky green leaves. It is a clump-forming perennial or biennial. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.

Insights

Atropurpureum works well when planted among grasses and other tall perennials.
