This is an attractive Gaura, its clusters of starry white blooms tipped with pink are borne in panicles on upright stems above variegated green, cream and purple foliage. Particularly prized for its compact habit, the deep pink buds and pretty flowers of Gaura Freefolk Rosy introduce an elegant delicacy to herbaceous borders or tubs, which belies its robust nature.

This long flowering perennial is also attractive to native pollinators. Resist the temptation to cut back after flowering as it often takes on autumn tints, particularly in cold weather.

  • Flowers: May - September
  • Hardy
  • Well drained soil
  • All aspects
  • Full sun

Don’t be alarmed if purple/brown spots appear on the plant. This is a response to cold temperatures as the plant is developing, and will not affect its growth or flowering.
